Evelynn & Justin met through a mutual friend who connected the two of them through music. Almost 8 years, a wedding, and 2 dogs later, E & J are at the beginning of a lifetime of travel, foodie adventures, booty grabs, and a whole lot of love. I was lucky enough to get in touch with Evelynn about their boho inspired Sunset Cliffs wedding in San Diego in 2020, and we finally got to meet up for their engagement photos in 2021! By the time we took these photos, I already felt like I knew these two and the kind of love they had for each other.
I think if Justin was an article of clothing, I think he would be a big sweater – keeps me warm and makes me feel safe and comfy
The Rehearsal Brunch
Evelynn & Justin had a morning rehearsal at Sunset Cliffs, followed by a sweet picnic brunch by Picnic by Nature with close friends and family.
The Wedding Day
Evelynn & Justin started the day with coffee and bagels at an AirBnb, while Evelynn and her girls started hair and makeup with Mobile Beauty Team and Justin walked the dogs.

We sent Evelynn downstairs to meet Justin at the door for their first look…
Evelynn walked around the corner and found her brother in the kitchen – for one of the most heartfelt family first looks I’ve ever seen
The Ceremony
Sunset Cliffs couldn’t have been more beautiful on this day – there was just a bit of haze and some stormy clouds in the distance that made for an unreal sunset. This ceremony would not have been the same without SoCal Vows and Richardson Events for making sure everything was perfect and beautiful, and working with such a natural venue.
Friends & Family
Evelynn and Justin were joined by friends from all over, their loving parents, and of course their two pups!
The Newlyweds
You guys don’t understand how excited I was to hear that we would be doing true sunset bridals at Sunset Cliffs – this is a wedding photographers dream. Enjoy the just-married smiles, booty grabs, and cliffside views.

After a beautiful day, Evelynn and Justin planned an amazing reception at Stone Brewing Liberty Station to celebrate. Elizabeth Oliver Baking designed a cake that was as beautiful as it was delicious, and we danced the night away under twinkle lights in one of Stone Brewing’s outdoor courtyards.
